Wifi Connection
Hello,

I try to get my iBoarbot connected to my wifi but I can't get it running.
Is there any restriction as 2,4 Ghz ?
Wifi Protection : WEP / WPA / WPA2 ?
Wifi Protocol : B / G / N
SSID Name : Maximum of caractere ?

I get to the registration but then the yellow light turn off.
And if I restart I never get the yellow light to stay solid.

Is there any kind of log from USB or any other way ?

Hope to get it working later !!

RE: Wifi Connection
You could manually setup wifi, by adjusting the code and uploading it to the Arduino.

https://github.com/jjrobots/iBoardbot/bl...ot_107.ino
Line 65

But that might require some (although not too much) technical knowledge.

Are you sure the information you enter is correct? no mac filtering active on the router? etc?
It looks like it tries to connect, but fails, after which it will reset itself.

RE: Wifi Connection
Hi,
This are the Wifi specs (8266 module specs)
band: 2.4Ghz
Protection WEP,WPA,WPA2
protocol: 801.11 b/g/n
SSID: max 30 characters

You could connect the USB to a PC and using a serial terminal you could see some log info. In some machines you need to install the driver for Arduino Leonardo board.

RE: Wifi Connection
Hello,

I guess something bigger.
I can't get any connection with the Arduino.
I plug the USB on 4 differents computer (Mac / Windows 7 / 8 / 10).
But I can't get any connection with it.
I don't know what I can do else.

Do you have any ideas ?

RE: Wifi Connection
Do you see the green led of the Leonardo on? or the orange led blinking? If so...do you have the Leonardo driver installed (included with the Arduino IDE?).
I mean, have you tried to follow the steps indicated here? (just checking this):

RE: Wifi Connection
That is strange. We have programmed every Leonardo. If it is faulty we would have detected it during the programming process (other thing is the Wifi module)
If the Arduino Leonardo driver is not installed in the computer, you can not detect it. But it should be detected after installing the Arduino IDE: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
