WiFi RN-131C Module Problems and Connection to Leonardo
Hy JJ,

i have a RC-131C Single WiFi Module without a Breakboard.

Wich Connections you use from the WiFi to Leonardo?
Just VCC || GND || RX || TX or you use the SPI interface?

Is the Wiring simmilar to the RN-XV WIFI module?

Greetings from Germany

Wampo

RE: Electrical Wiring Diagramm
Hi,
Yes we use the serial port, so you need GND,VCC,RX,TX

Take into account that the module works at 3.3V, you need to adapt the logic levels between the arduino (5v) and Wifi module (3.3v).

Jose.

I have connect a Logic Level converter from 3.3 to 5 V but i dont got any messages in the Serial Monitor with the Brobot Wifi Config Sketch.

The only Massage that i got ist
Factory Reset...
Wifi configuration...

CONFIG:

END!!
The module should be ready to use!

ECHO MODE (to test)

My configuration on the Modul is the Simplest i found. VDD Pin 21 GND Pin 19 and RX Pin 12, TX Pin 13

Is there any else Pin i must connect or short with another??

Thanks

RE: Electrical Wiring Diagramm
Okay now i got it. I can communicate with the WiFly Module but now theres a new Problem.

I have run the Brobot Wifi Config Sketch after the configuration i have compiled the Main Brobot Sketch on the Leonardo, but i can not connect to the WiFly Module. Its look like the WiFly Module is invisible.

Has anybody the same Problem?!

Greetings

And here we go.....

PROBLEM SOLVED

The WiFly Module ( RN-131C from Roving ) must be Updating the Firmware from 2.21 to 4.41 Wink

these two Links will help you to Connect the Module to the FTP-Update Server.

Page one : http://prado.readthedocs.org/en/latest/u...n131c.html
Page two : http://www.mostthingsweb.com/2013/07/sol...-firmware/

I hope it Helps to Connect your Phone with the WiFly....

Well, thank you Wampo.
I was using this wifi module and I had the same issue. So, I swapped to the RN-VX wifibee and solved it (this module comes with the 4.41 firmware version. And you can buy it in the jjrobots SHOP).

Thank you anyway :-)
