Thank you for your prompt reaction guys.

1) Are you using alkaline batteries? Very low voltage batteries will not have enough power to move the wheels
- Fresh alkaline batteries - there is 9.6V at the input.

2) If you lift the B-robot, does it spin the wheels?
- No. I tried to turn it to different angles with no reaction.

3) Can you swap the IMUs of the B-robots and see if they behave the same?
- I will try.

4) Does the led on top of the IMU lights after switching the Brobot ON?
Yes both Arduino and IMU LEDs are on.

I was in fact worried about shorting some naked wires with the IMU and heatsinks so I have placed them quite carefully.

Update: When I disconnect the IMU the robot starts turning wheels and moving the hand. So it definitely seems the IMU is not working correctly. I will get a replacement and let you know.
