Powering an attached FPV camera - deadprogram - 01-26-2019 01:46 PM

I'l like to attach an FPV camera, but the question is always... weight.

Anyone have any thoughts about where best to get power from on the Blimpduino board itself, or attaching another battery, or replace with an even larger battery.

We have been using these tiny FPV + TX: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/vm275t-5-8ghz-25mw-48ch-ntsc-pal-mini-vtx-600tvl-fpv-camera-micro-fpv-cloverleaf-antenna.html (they can be found everywhere: bangood, hobbyking...)
There are extremely light and ca be connected to a 1 cell battery LIPO (the one you are using for the blimpduino, for example). You can use a battery slipper cable or solder a new one to the board. Or just simply add another small battery to feed the camera by itself.
A 36" balloon (o more than 0.025 m3 volume balloon) can lift the gondola +camera without problems.
