Eraser servo problems - THATJOSHGUY - 04-20-2018 11:23 AM

Everything on my iBoardBot works great except for the eraser servo. I had to disconnect it entirely because it would randomly jump around when drawing which would cause the pen to lift from the board. It goes back to resting position when drawing completed and doesn't move, but it just won't stay still during drawing movements. Any ideas?

The potentiometer can be broken. We will send you a replacement.

Oh we also have that problem with our iboardBot and the cleaner.

When we start the cleaning process. First it runs well (start from the bottom to the top), but when the cleaner reached to top of the glass the cleaner gets moved to the left side and than "try" to clean from top to the Bottom. But now the Marker reaches the glass and starts to draw lines (like a html table). Furthermore the cleaner also hits now the support structure for the glass. And this maybe destroyed also our belt support drawing header (I'm ordering a new belt support today with your awesome 3D Parts from Github, thank you for make it open source!)

Can you please help us with the cleaner - what do we have to do that the robot will work again?

Maybe the eraser 3D part got loose? Can you upload photos of it please? Looks like the servo got damage or the 3D part broken or misplaced :-\

No problem and I'm also including a video that maybe could help also

First Picture top side, marked in red is the superglued belt part holder: https://imgur.com/K1eWrfl - This part was loose it cracked and couldn't generate the pressure that was need, so it couldn't hold the belt anymore. I "ripped" it off and filled both parts with superglue and glued it back together (we are ordering a replacement part from a 3D Printer Shop soon)
Second Picture Logic Board: https://imgur.com/MmfP68O Green is the cleaner and Blue is the raiser
And finaly a video to demonstrate the eraser problems: https://youtu.be/EqyQNr9xMcU - Write text and clean the board twice

Thank you for your help

Hmmm... I see. Thanks for the video+photos. It looks like that both servos are doing the same. Please connect them as indicated here[Image: connection-scheme.png]

By the way: How did the plastic part got broken? During the assembly process? Did it get broken easily?

RE: Eraser servo problems - ValionAG - 05-24-2018 11:49 AM

I connected the servos as shown on your picture: https://imgur.com/Bf6FfuT the result isn't that good either, the robot should write test but as you can see here it is even worse https://youtu.be/G4A13rxiR_w

After that I reconnected the Servo to the old position: https://imgur.com/crD5v23 and start a new Job he writes much cleaner but not perfect. https://youtu.be/gyXzAIv67Is

In both version the cleaner moves to the left and hits the 3D printed part (should also be audible):

The how did it break is hard to answer - I think it has brocken due to the eraser hits the left side (Left Glass Holder and the X Axe Holder) 3D Printet Parts as you can see in the Videos. The other possible way this could be damaged, would be transporting the robot from location A to B by a co-worker.

Hi
Well... it looks that we have a broken servo (damaged potentiometer): 99% certain. We can send you a replacement for just the shipping cost. If you would like to opt for this alternative, please contact us at info@jjrobots.com
PS: thank you for taking the time filming the videos.

ello you can give me help after a lot of waiting and patience I managed to make my boardbot work but as a user who wrote to you I have problems with the servant I believe that the tire moves but not in a precise way I would say that I bought only the electronic card arduino and brian sheld while the engines nema 17 and the servos I bought them on my behalf but scrupulously following your specifications but I know that your servos are already calibrated but I had manually positioned them as in the instructions but I think there is some mistake the sponge works but as I saw with another user it seems to bother writing I made photos of the links and I send video of what happens you can tell me what and caused the servos are those indicated by your specifications sg 90 engines nema 17 all as from your instructions the brian sheld card and the green one not blue so I made the connections as in the photo you think it is the servo or else I bought it s u internet i think is good i saw another user with the same problem can you tell me what's wrong?
