Full Version: B Robot Evo 2 - Can't upload new Arduino code

Hi
I just finished assembling my new R Robot Evo 2 and I wanted to make a change to the Arduino code and upload it to the Leonardo but each time I try, I get an error.

My computer (Windows 10) detects the arduino on COM9. Then when I upload, it sounds like the arduino disconnects and reconnects on COM10. I then get a message from avrdude that COM10 Access is denied.

This is what I see in the message window:

Code:
Sketch uses 22068 bytes (76%) of program storage space. Maximum is 28672 bytes.
Global variables use 1443 bytes (56%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1117 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2560 bytes.
Forcing reset using 1200bps open/close on port COM9
PORTS {COM1, COM9, } / {COM1, } => {}
PORTS {COM1, } / {COM1, COM10, } => {COM10, }
Found upload port: COM10

avrdude done.  Thank you.

Problem uploading to board.  See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.
Download and install latest Arduino IDE version 1.8.5 --> https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
Don't use the WinApp from Microsoft Store.
Since this is not a specific problem for B-Robot, I believe that Arduino Forum are more suitable to look for solutions to this problem --> https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?board=2.0
Thanks but I'm already using the latest IDE that's not downloaded from the Microsoft store.

This IS a question for B-Robot since what I built is completely stock and they provided the code too. This is called product support.

I'll just wait for someone who's able to help.

I think PaoloP was trying to help too... I think you misunderstood him when he proposed to take a look to the Arduino┬┤s IDE forum instead.

Did you select the ARDUINO LEONARDO as BOARD in the arduino IDE? This could be the problem.

This line: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\tools\avr/bin/avrdude -CC:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\tools\avr/etc/avrdude.conf -v -patmega32u4 -cavr109 -PCOM10 -b57600 -D -Uflash:wBig Grin:\Users\mo\AppData\Local\Temp\arduino_build_335730/BROBOT_EVO2.ino.hex:i " means that the Arduino IDE uploader (avrdude) is getting problems uploading the code to a defined hardware.

Which Arduino IDE are you using?
I'm using IDE version 1.8.5.

I switched to another computer and now the upload works. Weird.
